Braves Defeated, 6-2, After Los Angeles Rallies
|
Atlanta wasted an exceptional performance by pitcher Andy Bourdeau, falling to the Los Angeles Angels, 6-2. Bourdeau threw 8.0 innings of shutout ball for the losing team. The setback makes Atlanta 38-33.
Los Angeles used a timely hit from Steve Rasmussen to get the win. The right fielder stroked a 2-run double in the top of the ninth inning to put the Angels ahead, 4-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it made an impact.
Said Los Angeles manager Matt Moore: "Our approach was outstanding all night long."
