Slumping Blue Jays Lose 6th Straight
Toronto got a terrific performance from pitcher Mike Williams, but it wasn't enough to beat the Texas Rangers. Texas won the Globe Life Park in Arlington contest, 3-2. Williams threw 7.0 innings of 3-hit ball for the losing team. Cody Dunn earned the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The left-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits in 2.2 innings. His record is now 2-3. The Rangers are now 28-41, while the Blue Jays fall to 34-33.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the ninth inning, when Texas first baseman Scott Pabian, facing Benny Morgan, had a run-scoring hit-by-pitch. It gave the Rangers the 3-2 win.

Pabian described the clubhouse as "kind of rowdy" after the game.
