Behind a fine performance from Seth Hardenbrook, the New York Yankees knocked off the Texas Rangers, 8-6. Hardenbrook went 2 for 5 with a home run, a triple, and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3 for the Yankees. The save was credited to Jon Barton, his 18th. New York, at 31-39, sits in 4th place in the American League East Division.

Hardenbrook had a game-changing triple in the top of the tenth. On a 0-1 fastball from Aaron Aycock, he banged a run-scoring triple to right, giving the Yankees a 7-6 lead. It was the 2nd triple of the year for Hardenbrook.

"It wasn't our best performance," said Hardenbrook, "but a win in this league is nothing to sniff at."
