Las Vegas Hustle starter Jason Hudgins pitched a strong game against the Chicago Cubs at Wrigley Field, leading the Hustle to victory, 4-3. Las Vegas pitcher Matt Osborne got the win. He's now 3-4. Tim Linden was tagged with the loss. Adam Betts was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 14 of 18 save opportunities.

Las Vegas used the timely hitting of Nick Allen to seize the win. The pinch hitter stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Hustle on top, 4-3. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.

"We had the game right there for the taking," said Chicago manager Vin Calia. "But we decided not to take it."

The Hustle, at 29-41, sit in last place in the National League West Division.
