Phillies Fall Short, 1-0, at St. Louis
|
St. Louis Cardinals starter Hector Gordillo turned in a sterling performance against the Philadelphia Phillies, leading his team to a slim 1-0 win. St. Louis pitcher Jaden McCullough got the win, upping his record to 3-1. Kyle Horn got the loss. The save went to Bill Rosario, his 2nd this season.
St. Louis took a 1-0 lead on David Agullar's 1st home run of the season. The solo home run came off Philadelphia pitcher Kyle Horn in the bottom of the seventh.
"We need to keep playing good baseball," Gordillo told the St. Louis Observer.
The Phillies, at 37-33, have lost 4 straight games.
