Late Rally by Reds Secures 6-3 Win
|
The Cincinnati Reds locked up a win at Chase Field, knocking off the Arizona Diamondbacks, 6-3. On the mound for Cincinnati was left-hander Bryan Brown. He played a major role in the triumph. Cincinnati reliever Neal Kinch picked up the win, while John Baines took the loss for Arizona. Corey Comer, who is a six-time All-Star, earned the save for Cincinnati.
Gary Arbogast came through with a big-time hit for Cincinnati. The center fielder smacked a 3-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to give his team the lead, 5-3. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.
Arbogast said he was "thrilled" the fans had something to get excited about.
The Diamondbacks have now dropped 6 straight.
