Alvarez Now 3-8 After Subduing Braves
|
Starting pitcher Eddy Alvarez had a solid game. He was a big reason the New York Yankees throttled the Atlanta Braves, 3-1. The Yankees are now 32-40, while the Braves fall to 34-40.
Alvarez, the winner, is now 3-8. In 7 innings of work, he gave up 1 run on 3 hits, while collecting 11 Ks. He essentially shut down the Atlanta offense.
"Sometimes a win comes easy," Alvarez told the New York Daily. "And sometimes you have to scratch and claw."
