Red Sox Tack 5-2 Loss on Blue Jays
|
A good performance from left fielder Alex Salazar helped the Boston Red Sox defeat the Toronto Blue Jays, 5-2. Salazar was 2-4 with a home run, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2 for the Red Sox. Earning his 6th save for Boston was Danny Urista. The Red Sox, at 41-31, sit in second place in the American League East Division.
Boston used the timely hitting of Tyler Brown to seize the win. The right fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Red Sox on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Brown.
