Tampa Bay pitcher Brian Hamblin had a large part in his team beating the Seattle Mariners, 4-2. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Jeremy Coffen picked up his 12th save of the season. Tampa Bay's record now stands at 35-39, placing them 4th in the American League East Division.
Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Brian Benn? The Tampa Bay left fielder had a run-scoring double in the top of the sixth inning to put the Rays on top, 1-0. For the game, Benn had 1 double and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
