Blue Jays Suffer 5-4 Loss to Orioles
|
Baltimore beat Toronto at Oriole Park at Camden Yards, eking out a 5-4 win. The win was due in large part to third baseman Ramon Soto. He went 1-3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 runs. Roland Nobilo got credit for the win, improving to 4-2. He allowed 2 runs on 4 hits in 3 innings. Earning his 16th save for Baltimore was Tom Eassson.
Josh Robinson had a big solo home run for the Orioles in the bottom of the sixth inning. With Baltimore leading 4-2 and the bases empty, he sized up a changeup from 27-year old left-handed pitcher Brian Raymer and punished it. The result was his 20th home run of the season, which put the Orioles on top, 5-2.
"We found a way to get it done," Robinson said.
With the win, Baltimore pushed its record to 40-34.
