Guardians Clip Astros 4-3 in R1 Contest

In a crucial game, the Cleveland Guardians put on their best show, beating the Houston Astros by a final score of 4-3 today. Corey Winer threw 7.1 innings of 4-hit ball. Cleveland and Houston are now tied at 1 wins apiece in the best-of-3 affair.
In the bottom of the ninth, Chris Plunkett had a chance to deal the knockout blow. And he did, punching a run-scoring sacrifice fly to center off Houston pitcher Doug Hodges.
"We had the game right there for the taking," said Houston manager Giovanni Ciotti. "But we decided not to take it."
Game 3 is scheduled for Monday at Minute Maid Park in Houston.
