Astros Prevail, as Wildcard Series Goes to the Wire
With a narrow 2-1 series win, the Houston Astros have eliminated the Cleveland Guardians and are Wildcard Series winners.

"We tried not to look ahead to the Division Series, but we thought we'd be there for sure," said third baseman Lee Tasso, who was named series MVP.

Houston won the final game by a score of 4-3, wrapping it up at Minute Maid Park.

Tasso's big series saw him hit .636 with a .667 on-base percentage. He had 0 home runs, drove in 1 RBI and scored 3 runs.

The Houston Astros will play against the Boston Red Sox in the next round. Boston had a bye in the Wildcard Series. The Division Series schedule will be announced after the Wildcard Series finishes.
