Schulten Blasts Phillies, Rockies Take Game 1, 11-4
The Colorado Rockies started the League Championship Series in dominant fashion today, blowing out the host Philadelphia Phillies at Citizens Bank Park by a score of 11-4 and securing an early 1-0 lead in the best-of-7 series. Rockies second baseman Matt Schulten was 1-3 with a home run and 2 walks. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3.

Colorado used the bat of Chris Molina to capture the win. The designated hitter jacked a 3-run home run in the top of the third inning to put the Rockies ahead, 5-1. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a dandy.

"Nice to see our side come away with the win," Molina said after the game.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia.
