Pino, Mariners Wallop Rockies in Game 2 of R4
|
Seattle left fielder Edgar Pino was the difference-maker for the Mariners in what turned into a shootout with the Colorado Rockies. Pino earned accolades after going 3-for-4 in the 7-1 Mariners win. With the victory, the Mariners moved into a 1-1 tie in the best-of-7 series.
Nate Plank, who finished 5th in the AL in stolen bases with 17 in 2080, chipped in for Seattle with a 3-run home run in the bottom of the second. For the game, the center fielder had 2 hits in 5 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 3 RBI.
"We'll sip on a cold one and savor this win," said Pino.
