Chicago White Sox starter Pedro Sandoval was in fine form. He led his team to victory over the Kansas City Royals, 3-1. Chicago pitcher Mark Carnathan got the win, upping his record to 4-2. Bobby Day got the loss. With the win, Chicago goes to 50-24, while the Royals fall to 35-40.
Brandon Wilson, who is on pace for 77 RBI this season, chipped in a solo home run for Chicago in the bottom of the seventh. For the game, the shortstop had 2 hits in 3 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 1 RBI.
