Guardians Thrill Fans with 6-5 Win
Kansas City designated hitter Travis Bernsen was sensational. He was 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2, but it wasn't enough to rally his team to a win. Cleveland beat the Royals, 6-5. The win belongs to Juan Ramirez in relief. His record improves to 2-2. Angelo Castillo took the loss for Kansas City. Their 39-35 record puts the Guardians third in the American League Central Division.

The Guardians relied on catcher Dallas Ostrove for the game-winning hit. And, in the bottom of the 11th, he delivered, hitting a run-scoring single to seal the deal.

"We gave it the old college try," said Kansas City manager Connor Gould. "But the old college try wasn't good enough."
