The Baltimore Orioles powered past the Los Angeles Angels, 9-5, at Angel Stadium of Anaheim. Willie Valiente provided some of the pop. Elephant slugged 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice. Baltimore has now won 3 in a row.

With Baltimore leading 1-0 in the top of the fifth, Valiente came up to bat against Los Angeles pitcher Ismael Rangel. Valiente hit a knuckle curve to right for a 3-run home run. His 16th home run of the season put the Orioles on top, 4-0.
