Milwaukee 48-27 After Beating Giants
|
In a tension-filled contest between the Milwaukee Brewers and the San Francisco Giants, pitcher Doug Taub was superb. The Milwaukee right-hander spearheaded his team's 1-0 win. Milwaukee is third in the National League Central Division with a record of 48-27.
Milwaukee went up, 1-0, on Erick Rios's 14th double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Rios hit in the bottom of the seventh, left San Francisco pitcher Brian McQuain shaking his head.
"I tell our guys all the time, 'Every pitch is the right pitch if you put it in the right place, you believe in it and have conviction,'" Milwaukee manager Dan Silva said.
