Cincinnati used a superb performance from starting pitcher Jeff Brown to down the Colorado Rockies, 4-0. Corey Comer earned the save for Cincinnati, his 22nd. Cincinnati is now 49-26. Colorado is 41-33.

Cincinnati used the timely hitting of Tom Hedges to capture the win. The right fielder stroked a 2-run double in the top of the eighth inning to put the Reds on top, 3-0. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but he made it count.

"Jeff's not intimidated by who's stepping into the batter's box," said Cincinnati manager BJ Gorman.
