Giants Tack 7-1 Loss on Arizona
|
San Francisco Giants starter Nigel Joseph kept the Arizona Diamondbacks hitters in check, leading his team to a comfortable 7-1 win. The defeat makes Arizona 14-61.
The Giants got a big at-bat from third baseman Matt Milone. For the game, Milone went 1-5 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the top of the first, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 14th home run of the season gave San Francisco a 2-0 lead.
Afterward, Arizona manager Terrell Bailey said: "We were guessing wrong on pitches, and that's something we've got to get away from."
