Alvarez Blasts Astros, Reds Take Game 6, 6-5
The Cincinnati Reds and the Houston Astros will take the World Series to a decisive 7th game. In a must-win situation today, the Reds beat the Astros 6-5 at Minute Maid Park to force the series into what will essentially be a one-game playoff. Cincinnati designated hitter Raul Alvarez belted 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice.

It could have been a different outcome for Cincinnati, had it not been for Jonathan Vera, the top prospect . Vera contributed a run-scoring double in the top of the seventh inning to put Cincinnati up, 6-3.

Alvarez called the triumph "a good team win."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Minute Maid Park in Houston.
