Braves Fall to Nationals, 4-3
|
The Nationals grabbed a win, 4-3, at Coca-Cola Field, overcoming a fine effort from Atlanta pitcher Ryan Kohn. Kohn went 7.2 innings and allowed 3 runs. Washington is now 35-42, Atlanta 35-42.
Kyle Spencer, who is on pace for 80 RBI this season, aided the Washington cause with a run-scoring double in the top of the sixth. For the game, the shortstop was 2-4 with a double. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.
"Let's just say I'm happy we won," said Spencer. "There are a lot of people in the clubhouse who like to whine too much when we lose."
