Wet weather did not postpone the Boston-Texas ballgame.

The Boston Red Sox picked up a win at Fenway Park, knocking off the Texas Rangers, 5-3. Starting pitcher Sam Cardwell was a big reason why. Scott Duree nailed down his 15th save.

Though it wasn't a flawless game -- few are -- the fans who filled the stands at Fenway Park seemed to enjoy watching the American League action.

"Sam's focus was outstanding. The way he handled every moment -- when there was a little trouble, he didn't lose his tempo or his rhythm," said Boston manager Michael Meagher.

The win makes Boston 34-43.
