Orioles Winners, 6-1, Over Yankees
|
Baltimore pitcher Brian Groeschen did his part in helping his team defeat the New York Yankees, 6-1. The opposition could never get too much going against the left-hander. Baltimore now owns a record of 44-35.
One pivotal at-bat came in the bottom of the fifth with no one out. With a runner on 1st and the Yankees trailing 2-0, Brian Groeschen needed to make a quality pitch. He threw a full count cutter to retire Markevian Gravel, who struck out.
