Allen Socks 2 Homers in 4-3 Win
|
The performance of Kyle Allen proved critical in helping Cleveland beat Tampa Bay, 4-3. The Guardians third baseman hit 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice. Pablo Iglesias got the save, the 15th for him this season. After today's action, Cleveland sits at 34-44, while Tampa Bay falls to 37-42.
The game turned with two out in the bottom of the fourth. That's when Allen hit a 2-run home run off Tony Severs. It propelled the Guardians into the lead, 2-0.
Afterward, Tampa Bay manager Kyle Delgado said: "We've got to find a way to pick up a win."
