Brewers Foil Cardinals, 1-0
|
Jason Panzarella, who is tied for 9th in the NL with a 1.12 WHIP, had a strong outing for the Milwaukee Brewers against the St. Louis Cardinals at Busch Stadium. The left-hander was a big part of his team's 1-0 win. Panzarella picked up the win for Milwaukee, going 5 innings. He gave up no runs on 1 hits. He now sports a record of 4-2. The win has Milwaukee at 25-54.
The Brewers got a big at-bat from third baseman Adam Anderson. For the game, Anderson went 2 for 4 with 2 doubles. In the top of the second, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 6th double of the season gave Milwaukee a 1-0 lead.
"Jason was really attacking guys' weaknesses and he didn't leave a lot of balls over the plate," said Milwaukee field general Danny Post.
