In a low-scoring affair between the Atlanta Braves and the Los Angeles Dodgers, pitcher Ryan Peed was the difference between victory and defeat. The Atlanta right-hander earned accolades in the 1-0 Braves win. Peed got the win, improving to 4-6. He allowed 5 hits and walked 2 over 6.1 innings. Peed allowed no runs. Atlanta now sits at 37-43, while Los Angeles falls to 42-35.
Atlanta took control in the top of the sixth. With one out and a runner on 2nd, Ramon Carrion hit a run-scoring single to make it 1-0, Braves.
Carrion told a Atlanta Bulletin reporter that he was "very satisfied" with the win.
