Baseball fans saw a good contest between the Milwaukee Brewers and Chicago Cubs.

The Milwaukee Brewers overcame a pretty good performance by Chicago shortstop Miguel Gerena, beating the Cubs, 6-5, at Wrigley Field. Gerena went 2 for 4 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. The last-place Brewers improved to 26-54.

Milwaukee used a clutch at-bat from Bryan Lupo to capture the win. The designated hitter hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the first inning to put the Brewers ahead, 4-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

Lupo said he was "thrilled" the fans had something to get excited about.
