Lancaster Stakes 1-0 Series With Walk-off win
The Lancaster JetHawks combined strong pitching and timely hitting to take Game 1 of the Round 2, 4-2, in a walk-off win over the Visalia Rawhide today.

The JetHawks got a solid day from starter Matt Pavic. The right-handed Pavic threw 7 innings of shutout ball in the win, which gave the JetHawks a 1-0 lead to start the best-of-7 series.

The most significant at-bat for Lancaster came with runners on 1st and 2nd in the bottom of the ninth. JetHawks pinch hitter Ricardo Anchondo hit a 3-run home run to win the game.

"The key at this level is throwing strike one," said Pavic. "Successful pitchers do it."

The next game is scheduled for tomorrow at The Hanger. The scheduled starters for the game are Josh Miller for the Visalia Rawhide and Felipe Velazquez for the the Lancaster JetHawks.
