JetHawks Even With Rawhide After Home Win
The Lancaster JetHawks and the Visalia Rawhide will take the Round 2 to a decisive 7th game. In a must-win situation today, the JetHawks beat the Rawhide 4-2 at The Hanger to force the series into what will essentially be a one-game playoff. Lancaster right-hander Felipe Velazquez had a big role in the win. He threw 7 innings allowing 2 runs.

In the bottom of the seventh, Lancaster first baseman John Hede hit a 2-run single to center field. The clutch hit made it, 4-2, JetHawks.

"We'll savor this win," Hede told the Lancaster Observer, "then get ready for the next game."

Game 7 is scheduled for tomorrow in Lancaster. The scheduled starters for the game are John Flannery for the Visalia Rawhide and Miguel Mejia for the the Lancaster JetHawks.
