Blue Jays Take Down Orioles, 3-1
|
The Baltimore Orioles got a sterling performance from pitcher Chris Hafer, but the Toronto Blue Jays still prevailed, 3-1. Hafer threw 7.0 innings of 2-hit ball. Blake Dickerson, credited with the win, is now 7-2. He allowed no runs on no hits. The Blue Jays, at 52-29, have now won 7 straight.
Toronto used a clutch hit from Victor Ramirez to get the win. The pinch hitter drilled a solo home run in the top of the 12th inning to put the Blue Jays ahead, 2-1. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.
"I like how we're playing right now," said Ramirez.
