Round 1 Goes the Distance, Montgomery Prevails
Montgomery Biscuits won a nail-biting series against the Mobile BayBears 3-2, wrapping up the Round 1 finale 5-4 at Hank Aaron Stadium.

Biscuits third baseman Felipe Martinez was named the series MVP.

He batted .333, drove in 3 runs and scored 6 to lead Montgomery into the next round of play.

"Felipe was real solid for us, real solid," said Biscuits manager Lazaro Flores. "I normally say I'd like to have nine of him out there, but thankfully we got by with just one this time."

The Montgomery Biscuits don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Pensacola Blue Wahoos - Chattanooga Lookouts series. That series is tied at 2 games apiece. The Round 2 schedule will be announced after the Round 1 finishes..
