JetHawks Cruise to Round 2 with Sweep
|
Clint Bresnahan said he expected the Round 1 to be "a battle from start to finish."
In the end, it was nothing more than a minor skirmish, as the Lancaster JetHawks encountered little resistance in sweeping the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes, to advance to the Round 2.
"It may have been a sweep, but it still was a tough series," said Bresnahan.
Lancaster won the final game by a 3-2 count and were led in the series by Bresnahan, who was named MVP. On the series, he hit .600 with 2 home runs. He also drove in 6 RBI and scored 3 runs.
The Lancaster JetHawks don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Visalia Rawhide - Stockton Ports series. Visalia leads the series 2 games to 0. The Round 2 schedule will be announced after the Round 1 finishes.
