Alfredo Cortez was superb against Houston. The right-hander, who is tied for 3rd in the AL in strikeouts with 117, had a fastball that was virtually unhittable at times. The result was a White Sox victory. The score was 8-0. The White Sox raised their record to 50-34.

Cortez allowed no runs on 1 hit over 7 innings for the White Sox. He walked no one. With the win, he is 11-0 with an ERA of 2.79.

"Alfredo was all business tonight," said Chicago manager Bryce Reigns.
