The St. Louis Cardinals knocked off the New York Mets, 6-4, in National League action at Busch Stadium. St. Louis pitcher and Ciudad Guayana, Venezuela, native Juan Castillo had an outstanding performance. Brandon Chopp earned his 27th save, after closing out the game. St. Louis has run its win streak to 4 consecutive.

St. Louis took a 6-4 lead on Gaige Spicer's 4th home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which Spicer hit in the bottom of the eighth, left New York pitcher Matt Lemke visibly frustrated.

"We were able to get some things going offensively," said Castillo.
