Clutch Hitting Delivers Win for Reds
The Boston Red Sox got a superb performance from left fielder Alex Salazar, but the Cincinnati Reds still won the game, 7-6. Salazar went 2-4 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 runs. Cincinnati pitcher Dustin Guerin got the win, upping his record to 3-2. Nick Miller got the loss. With the win, Cincinnati pushed its record to 58-26.

The Reds relied on center fielder Tim Mercer for the game-winning hit. And, in the bottom of the tenth, he delivered, hitting a run-scoring single to seal the deal.

"Winning in the last at-bat, there's nothing else like it," said Mercer.
