The Houston Astros got a sterling performance from pitcher Kihachi Okuhara, but the Detroit Tigers still prevailed, 5-1. Okuhara threw 8.0 innings of 5-hit ball. Detroit goes to 46-38, Houston to 51-35.

Tied up with the Astros in the top of the fourth inning, the Tigers got a boost from designated hitter Luis Ortega. With runners on 1st and 2nd, Ortega saw a 1-1 sinker from Kihachi Okuhara and hit a run-scoring single to break the stalemate and put Detroit on top, 2-1.

"When I'm in the lineup, I always feel like we're going to win the game," said Ortega.
