Blue Jays Lose to Phillies, 4-1
|
Philadelphia and Toronto duked it out and the Phillies came out victorious.
Philadelphia Phillies starter Nick Farrier was in a groove as he led his team to a win over the Toronto Blue Jays, 4-1. Jason Hunter closed the door for Philadelphia, picking up his 20th save of the year.
Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Josh Hester? The Philadelphia catcher had a 2-run double in the top of the fourth inning to put the Phillies on top, 3-1. For the game, Hester had 1 double and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"We'll relax tonight and enjoy this win," said Hester.
The win makes Philadelphia 48-38.
