Brathwaite goes 3-for-3 in Texas Win
|
Joe Brathwaite was a vital contributor to the 7-3 Texas victory over Los Angeles. The Rangers left fielder was 3 for 3 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3. Picking up the win was Andy Nappi. He went 6.2 innings, allowing 2 runs on 5 hits. The right--hander struck out 12 and walked 2. The Rangers raised their record to 47-40.
Felipe Fernandez helped out the Texas cause in the bottom of the fourth inning with a 2-run single. For the game, the right fielder was 2 for 4 with 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.
"I'm proud of the way we took care of business and got the 'W' today," Brathwaite told the Texas News. "Whatever it takes."
