Cardinals Suffer 5-2 Loss to Brewers
|
Behind an impressive start by Tim Cockfield, Milwaukee beat St. Louis, 5-2. The winner in relief was Bob McDonald. He is now 8-3. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2 innings. The 4th-place Brewers lifted their record to 38-47.
Milwaukee used the timely hitting of Bunka Imamura to capture the win. The right fielder stroked a 2-run double in the top of the seventh inning to put the Brewers on top, 4-2. It was his only hit in 2 at-bats, but he made it count.
"I just tried to attack the bottom of the zone," Cockfield said.
