Rockies Lose Late, 5-4
|
The Minnesota Twins topped the Colorado Rockies, 5-4, in American League action at Target Field. The game was highlighted by the performance of Minnesota pitcher Russell Cottrell. The Twins move to 46-42 with the win, while the Rockies drop to 47-39.
The game ended with a bang. In the bottom of the ninth, with Minnesota trailing 4-2, Joe Looby jumped on a 0-2 cutter from Kevin Kulik for a 3-run home run, sending the Twins to a walk-off win.
"Great to get the crowd on its feet," Cottrell said.
