The first-place Seattle Mariners picked up another win.

Getting offensive support from Omar Perez, the Seattle Mariners topped the Minnesota Twins, 6-3. Perez was 1-3 with a triple and a walk, while scoring 2 and driving in 2 for the Mariners. The winner was Tom Kingman in relief. His record improves to 6-2. Nick Bruhl took the loss. Tony Soto collected save number 7.

Perez contributed a big hit, a 2-run triple, for Seattle in the bottom of the fifth. With his team trailing 1-0, Perez took a sinker from Ryan Sassi and stroked the triple to right-center. His 3rd triple of the season allowed the Mariners to leap in front, 2-1.

"What we get, we earn," Perez told the Seattle Chronicle.

The Mariners raised their record to 57-32.
