Guardians Lose to Minnesota, 6-1
|
Minnesota and Cleveland took Mother Nature's best shot and still managed to complete their ballgame.
Riding the 3-hit performance of the former first round draft pick Billy Hinson, the Minnesota Twins defeated the Cleveland Guardians, 6-1. The save went to Adrian Tipton, his 10th this season.
Nate Carpenter helped out the Minnesota cause in the bottom of the sixth inning with a run-scoring sacrifice fly. For the game, the third baseman drew 1 walk in 4 plate appearances.
"There's still time to turn this season around," said Carpenter.
The 4th-place Twins bumped their record to 42-48.
