Reds Deal Cardinals 5-2 Defeat
|
The Cincinnati Reds and St. Louis Cardinals completed their game despite the inclement weather.
Cincinnati Reds starter Curtis Moore pitched well against the St. Louis Cardinals at Busch Stadium, leading his team to a win, 5-2. Cincinnati reliever Corey Comer picked up the win, upping his record to 4-5. Jonathan Reddington absorbed the loss.
Adam Powers came through with a big-time hit for Cincinnati. The first baseman smacked a 3-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to give his team the lead, 5-2. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.
"I put my work in and trusted the process," said Moore.
Cincinnati is 4th in the National League Central Division with a record of 50-44.
