Twins Suffer Blowout Loss to Mariners
|
The Seattle Mariners buried the Minnesota Twins, 12-1, under a barrage of hits. Keith Bundy led the onslaught, going 3-for-5 for Seattle. Seattle pitcher Trevor Killy got the win. He's now 6-2. Jon Meger was tagged with the loss. Seattle has a record of 58-32, placing them first in the American League West Division.
The Mariners got a big hit from left fielder Omar Perez. In the bottom of the eighth, Perez pounded a bases-clearing double to left. His 21st double of the season put the Mariners ahead, 11-1.
"We took it on the chin today," said losing manager Chris Greuling.
