Braves Drop White Sox, 3-1
|
Jim Tant could take little solace in pitching a good game. The fact is his Chicago White Sox lost, dropping a 3-1 decision to the Atlanta Braves at Coca-Cola Field. Atlanta reliever Jeremy Jenkins picked up the win, while Jim Tant took the loss for Chicago. The Braves now have a mark of 46-48.
Atlanta took a 2-0 lead on Felix Garza's 9th double of the season. The 2-run double, which Garza hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Chicago pitcher Keith Dragisic visibly frustrated.
"You score one run, you're not going to win," said Chicago skipper Bryce Reigns. "You can have three Koufaxes and three Drysdales, you're still not going to win."
