The San Francisco Giants knocked off the Milwaukee Brewers, 8-6, at AT&T Park. Kevin Shaw hit 1 single and 2 doubles, while driving in 2 runs. San Francisco reliever Alexis Mendoza picked up the win, upping his record to 4-3. Chris Hellige took the loss. San Francisco, at 60-32, sits in first place in the National League West Division.

The game ended with a bang. In the bottom of the ninth, with San Francisco trailing 6-5, Greg Schaefer jumped on a 1-2 fastball from Chris Hellige for a 3-run home run, sending the Giants to a walk-off win.

"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Schaefer told the San Francisco Citizen.
