Orioles Deal Houston 2-1 Defeat
|
Adam Bailey pitched well, but his team, the Houston Astros, still dropped a 2-1 decision to the Baltimore Orioles at Oriole Park at Camden Yards. Matt Olson recorded the save, his 26th. The Orioles saw their win-loss record go to 51-42. At the same time, the Astros fell to 54-40.
With scoring opportunities rare, the Orioles had to cash in when they had the chance. One such opportunity presented itself in the bottom of the sixth, when right fielder John Healey hit a run-scoring single. The single came off Adam Bailey and made the score 2-1, Orioles. Healey was 1-4.
"Every loss hurts," said Houston manager Zeb Currier. "But this was a tough one."
