Dodgers Win, 6-3, Versus Reds
|
The Los Angeles Dodgers overcame a pretty good performance by Cincinnati designated hitter Adam Powers, beating the Reds, 6-3, at Great American Ball Park. Powers went 2 for 2 with a home run and 2 walks. He scored 2 times. The first-place Reds dropped to 58-34.
Los Angeles relied on the hitting of Rodolfo Olmo to pick up the win. The left fielder ripped a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Dodgers on top, 3-2. For the game, Olmo had 1 triple and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
"I like winning," Olmo told the Los Angeles Times. "I may joke around, but when it comes down to it, winning is the most important thing."
