Blue Jays Rally For 6-3 Win
|
The Toronto Blue Jays knocked off the Houston Astros, 6-3, at Minute Maid Park. Greg Whitaker produced 3 singles and 1 double, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 1. Victor Urueta, now 9-1, picked up the win in relief. He allowed 1 run on 2 hits in 1.1 innings. The Blue Jays raised their record to 61-33.
Justin Dupree, the 25-year old third baseman , had a direct impact on the outcome. Dupree contributed a run-scoring walk in the top of the eighth inning to put Toronto up, 4-2.
"The fans pay the tickets and help us do what we do, so we like to put on a show for them," Whitaker told the Toronto Times.
