Sharp Leads Brewers to 3-1 Win over Reds
|
The Milwaukee Brewers earned a close win over the Cincinnati Reds, thanks in part to Wally Sharp. The Milwaukee right-hander, who signed a 2-year contract worth $11,400,000 on 12/06/2107, played a key role in the 3-1 victory. With the win, Milwaukee goes to 30-64, while the Reds fall to 51-46.
Sharp's performance can only be described as masterful. He notched 6 strikeouts in 8 innings while allowing 4 hits. Sharp goes to 4-4 on the year with 33 strikeouts.
"Wally just went about his business, throwing strikes," said Milwaukee manager Danny Post.
